Langdon’s Brady Club members received their Yoni Jesner Volunteering Awards from the Chief Rabbi. They had to achieve 20 hours of voluntary work within a school year. The groups started in October 2012, with very little idea of what volunteering was or what they could do, and their success is a huge achievement. The initiative, supported by the Judith Trust Inclusion Campaign and the Jewish Volunteer Network (JVN), was the first time young people with learning disabilities were encouraged and supported to participate in the Award.
The group, with support from a techonologically-minded young volunteer, made a film to show what they did and what volunteering means to them.
